There is nothing else like paraiba. Discovered in the late 1980s in the Brazilian state of Paraiba, the inspiration for its name, this crown jewel of the tourmaline family occurs in an incendiary spectrum ranging from electric blue to neon green. The only other hues in nature that even come close to its intense incandescence are tropical seas or peacock quills.
Paraiba tourmaline is so scarce and in such high demand that even gems with inclusions are highly sought after. Not only can inclusions contribute to the beauty or value of a gem, they often accentuate the depth of color, beauty and individuality of each stone.
This Brazilian paraiba cabochon is set in luminous 18K yellow gold in a pave diamond halo and comfortable shank.
Paraiba cabochon, 2.64cts. 44 diamonds, 0.36ct.
Every diamond is hand selected and beautifully matched for cut and brilliance. A unique serial number is engraved on it, as well as the metal quality stamp and Suna trademark.
